Smart Support Tag Replace Battery v3
Only for SMART V3 Tags
If you have SMART V.3 (with a tag like the one in the photo), follow these few simple steps:
- remove the rubber keyring loop to pull out the matte plastic button
- on the back of the matte plastic button, unscrew the opening cap clockwise (it has a slot guide: you can use a coin to help you)
- take the old battery out of its holder, paying attention to which way round the two faces with the poles were positioned
- insert the new battery, again checking that the poles are facing the right way and removing any protective films
- put the opening cap back on by screwing it counterclockwise
- now reattach the rubber loop
WARNING: Some CR2032 batteries have a transparent film to insulate the charge and prevent leakage. If this film is present on the new batteries you're replacing in the Tag, it must be removed before fitting the batteries into the Tag.
