How it works?

Get to know your Smart

Trackting SMART consists of two elements: the Tracker and the Tag.

The Tracker is placed on the vehicle and is the heart of the system, with a motion sensor, GPS and a built-in SIM with no subscription.

The Tag keyring, which you'll always carry with you, allows the Tracker to recognize when it's you who's driving.

The Tracker activates only when you park: it doesn't track your movements, but reacts immediately in the event of theft.

While Driving

You moved your vehicle

When you start your vehicle, the Tracker senses the movement and wakes from standby, looking for the Tag to verify that it is really you at the wheel and not a thief.

With the new Smart V3 model, as soon as the Tag connects to the Tracker it emits three blue flashes. To find out more, read here.

When the Tag is detected, the Tracker returns to standby without tracking your movements, optimising the battery and respecting your privacy.

Good to know

If you open the App while you are driving, you will always see your last parking position. This is normal: Trackting SMART tracks the vehicle only in the event of theft.

Parked

You parked and walked away

Every time you park and walk away from your vehicle, the Tracker activates automatically and starts protecting you.

With the new SMART V3 model, the Tag flashes green three times to indicate that it has disconnected from the Tracker. To learn more, read here.

After a few minutes, you will also receive a parking notification with the location on the App.

Any movement in your absence — that is, without the Tag nearby — is recognised as an attempted theft and will trigger the alarm.

Good to know

If you park indoors, the GPS may not detect the position: don't worry, because the vehicle is still protected and, in the event of theft, tracking will begin as soon as the vehicle moves outside.

In alarm

The device detects movement while you're away

If the Tracker detects an unauthorised movement, that is, in the absence of the Tag, it switches to Alarm mode, meaning it sends you a notification and/or a phone call and starts GPS tracking of the vehicle. By opening the App you can check the position, direction and speed.

Good to know

You can adjust the sensitivity of the Tracker's motion sensor via the App, to adapt it to your needs and your vehicle.

Battery & Charging

The Tracker is rechargeable via USB-C. You can check the charge level in the App and you'll receive a notification if the battery is low.

The Tag features a long-lasting, non-rechargeable button battery (CR2032).

Good to know

The Tracker should not be left permanently powered on the vehicle, because it would be easily detected by thieves and the battery could deteriorate. Moreover, when powered, the Tracker does not send events or notifications, so in the event of theft it will not be able to alert you.
