Smart Support Tag Replace Battery v2

Only for SMART V2 Tags

If you have SMART V.2 (with a tag like the one in the photo), just follow these few simple steps while watching this video.

  • Remove the two screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
  • Separate the two halves of the tag by gently prying on the black rubber ring.
  • Remove the black rubber ring and then separate the circuit board from its base.
  • Using a plastic tip (e.g. the cap of a pen), push the battery out of its holder.
  • Insert the new battery, making sure it's the right way round and removing any protective films.
  • Put the circuit board back on its base, lining up the holes in the board with the red plastic pins.
  • Now fit the rubber ring, matching the two cuts with the plastic notches.
  • Place the cover, aligning the central plastic notch with the corresponding cut on the rubber ring.
  • Make sure the two halves of the tag and the rubber ring have been fitted together correctly.
  • Using the screwdriver and without applying much force, screw the two screws back in.

WARNING: Some CR2032 batteries come with a transparent film to insulate the charge and prevent leakage. If this film is present on the new batteries you're installing in the Tag, remove it before putting the batteries inside the Tag.
