How to update the Tracker firmware
If you have the previous version of Trackting SMART (the one with the teardrop-shaped Tag), to improve performance we recommend keeping your tracker updated to the latest software version available. It's super easy: everything is done automatically, all you need is a PC/Mac and the USB cable. Here you'll find the instructions to update your device to the latest firmware version available (VERSION 1.74), for the first SMART model, with the teardrop-shaped Tag. If you prefer, our technicians can take care of the update at our facility (paid service), with pickup and home delivery by courier included.
INSTRUCTIONS
You need a PC with Windows 10 or a Mac (Mojave, High Sierra, Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite) with 1 free USB port. You must use the original USB cable provided in the box, otherwise it might not work. Don't connect the tracker to the computer yet: the update software will ask you to do so at the right time.
Follow all the steps carefully:
1) Download the update software onto your computer and install it:
– For Windows you'll find it here (version 2.06)
– For Mac you'll find it here (version 2.06)
2) Launch the software and follow the on-screen instructions step by step (the USB cable should only be connected to the Tracker when the software asks for it)
3) When prompted for the code, type sa-174 and click Next
4) As soon as the update is finished, disconnect the tracker from the computer
5) Shake the tracker for at least 45 seconds
6) Place it on the windowsill so that it can see the sky
7) Move away with the Tag (red) by at least 30 meters
8) Within 5 minutes you should receive the first parking event

SOLUTIONS TO COMMON PROBLEMS
[WINDOWS] – PROBLEM: the device is not detected by the PC In some cases the Tracker is not automatically detected by Windows when connected to the USB port. To solve the problem, just download and install the drivers as follows:
1) Enable Windows automatic updates
2) Download and save the driver package, you'll find it here
3) Go over the file and right-click with the mouse, click "Extract all…" and continue
4) Run the install file you'll find inside the trackting-drivers-win folder
5) Continue with the wizard that opens automatically
[MAC] – PROBLEM:
the application won't run If Mac blocks our application from running, just follow these simple steps to authorize it
